Description:
A delightful dwarf border Clematis in a mixture of marine blue and rich rose 5cm (2 inch) flowers, with each one being delicately fragrant. The herbaceous plants are firstly erect in habit, and then spread unless staked to cover the ground in a sea of blooms, which are then followed by the attractive whiskery seed heads.

Sowing | Pre chill the seed to 5C for 3 weeks prior sowing. Sow on to a moist seed sowing compost in a 286 plug tray or slightly larger unit if preferred. Cover the seed lightly with vermiculite and propagate at 18 to 20C. Germination should take place in approximately three weeks. |
Growing | Grow on the seedlings in a lightly shaded area until they are established and fill the tray. Pot on in late August - September in to 1 litre pots or put 3 plugs in to 2 or 3 litre pots. Over winter in a well ventilated unheated glasshouse or tunnel for sales the following March / April or for flowering plants ready to sell in early May to June. |
